CULTURE FAIR – TONIGHT!
We had such a terrific Culture Fair last Thursday that we are having another Culture Fair today, Thursday, April 4th from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.! Tonight’s Culture Fair features the work of our third grade students. Participating third graders are Beau Bigwood, Jenna Dunlap, Daitoniah Ebensberger, Octavain Harrington, Sofia Jacobo, Archer Kelly, Autumn Klahn, Mia Macke, Kennedy Melchiori, Maya Pendleton, Jacoby Sampson, Vinnie Srp, Paxton Steffes, Olivia Steines, and Chloe Toler. The Culture Fair is an Open House. It is a terrific opportunity to learn about 15 different countries and see the wonderful learning centers our third graders have made.
HEALTHY HABITS CALENDAR
April Health Habits calendars were sent home last week! The April calendar is also attached if you would like to print it yourself. Any students that complete at least 23 days of activities listed on the calendar AND return the calendar to school on Wednesday, May 1st will receive an extra recess with Mr. D.! Let’s finish the year strong CES!
IOWA ASSESSMENTS TEST PREPARATION
SAVE THE DATE! APRIL 11TH – APRIL 16TH – APRIL 18TH
3rd and 4th grade students will be taking the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress, or ISASP, on April 11th, 16th, and 18th. Both grades have already had guidance lessons on preparation, test anxiety, and motivation. Your encouragement of your students is greatly appreciated!
ISASP TEST TAKING TIPS:
- Get enough sleep.
- Eat a healthy breakfast.
- Read the directions carefully.
- Read the questions carefully.
- Always check your answers.
- Stay focused.
- Take your time.
- Most importantly — Do your BEST!

CES READING GOAL
We DID it!! We surpassed our goal of 98,500 minutes in the month of March! We read 112,254 minutes. We will be celebrating with an extra 30 minutes of art TOMORROW! Thank you for helping support this work! Keep reading and stay tuned for the next upcoming reward opportunity!

Our attendance is currently 95.73%. We as a school have set a goal of 97%. Thank you for working with us to reach that goal, EVERY DAY matters.
