VALENTINE CLASSROOM PARTIES- NEXT FRIDAY!

            Camanche Elementary classrooms will have their Valentine’s Day parties on Friday, February 10^th. Please call the CES main office if you would like to purchase a snack and drink for your student’s classroom. Cost is .90 per student and includes BOTH the snack and drink. For example, a classroom that has 20 students would cost $18.00. All orders are due by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3^RD. Thank you for keeping our students safe!

            When sending in Valentines please make sure they do not have any food or candy attached. We encourage nonfood items such as pencils, stickers, or erasers. Please contact CES if you have any questions.

 

SINGING VALENTINES – DUE WEDNESDAY!

            Singing valentines are a fundraiser for the Camanche High School Vocal Department. The cost is only $5 and must be purchased by Wednesday, February 8^th. The order form is available in the office at Camanche Elementary. Singing valentines are available for purchase for K-4^th grade students at CES.

 

BALANCE DUE

            Thank you to all of the families that are keeping your students’ lunch accounts in good standing! If your lunch account currently has a negative balance, please make every effort to pay any outstanding balance as soon as possible. If you have any questions regarding your lunch account balance, please call Taryn at 563-259-3004 or email tdeterman@camanchecsd.org. Thank you!

 

KINDERGARTEN ROUND UP

            Kindergarten Round Up will be held on Wednesday, February 22^nd at 2:15 p.m. & Thursday, February 23^rd at 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you have a child that will turn 5 years old on or before September 15, 2023, please call our office to add them to our Round Up list. We can’t wait to meet all of our future kindergarteners!

 

PRESCHOOL INFORMATION NIGHT

            Children who live in Iowa and will turn 4 years old on or before September 15, 2023 qualify for FREE PRESCHOOL. Please join us for a preschool information night on Thursday, February 9^th at 5:00 p.m. in the elementary school library.

 

FROM MRS. MUNSON

            This week talk with your student about: “I set goals for myself”. We want our children to succeed in life. Goal setting for children is important because it gives them a sense of purpose that can improve their confidence and build their self-esteem (this is also true for us adults). It also helps them to focus and make better decisions. Here are some articles to help you effectively teach this important life skill:
