NO SCHOOL MONDAY, JANUARY 16TH MLK JR DAY
There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
100TH DAY OF SCHOOL
Camanche Elementary will celebrate the 100th day of school on Friday, January 27th. We have lots of fun activities planned for that day and would like to invite students to dress up like they are 100 years old. Get creative with glasses, hair, and outfits! It’s lots of fun!
VALENTINE CLASSROOM PARTIES
Camanche Elementary classrooms will have their Valentine’s Day parties on Friday, February 10th. Please call the CES main office if you would like to purchase a snack and drink for your student’s classroom. Cost is .90 per student and includes BOTH the snack and drink. For example, a classroom that has 20 students would cost $18.00. All orders are due by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3RD. Thank you for keeping our students safe!
When sending in Valentines please make sure they do not have any food or candy attached. We encourage nonfood items such as pencils, stickers, or erasers. Please contact CES if you have any questions.
KINDERGARTEN ROUND UP
Kindergarten Round Up will be held on Wednesday, February 22nd at 2:15 p.m. & Thursday, February 23rd at 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you have a child that will turn 5 years old on or before September 15, 2023, please call our office to add them to our Round Up list. We can’t wait to meet all of our future kindergarteners!
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to our school’s 4th grade Lego League Challenge team. In their Regional competition, they earned the Motivate award. This award celebrates a team that embraces the culture of FIRST LEGO League through team building, team spirit, and displayed enthusiasm. Members of the Solar Sunrise team are: Katelynn Burken, Marley Fuller, Landon Green, Cody Gravert, Luke Gravert, Lakin Springer, and Addi Totten. The team is coached by Sheryl Kennedy.
PRESCHOOL INFORMATION NIGHT
Children who live in Iowa and will turn 4 years old on or before September 15, 2023 qualify for FREE PRESCHOOL. Please join us for a preschool information night on Thursday, February 9th at 5:00 p.m. in the elementary school library.
