CONGRATULATIONS!
Congratulations to the Super Solar Six, our school’s Lego League Explore team. They impressed the judges with their presentation, their model, their research, and their teamwork. They were awarded the Cool Creative Collaborator Award. Members of the Super Solar Six are Jocelyn Bark, Hunter Bray, Owen Kelley, Sophia Munson, River Murphy, and Kennedy Schwandt. They are coached by Sheryl Kennedy.
GOOD LUCK!
Good luck to our school’s 4th grade Lego League Challenge team in their upcoming Regional competition. This year’s challenge was to research how communities obtain energy and how their community uses the energy they obtained. Then the team members had to explore the impact of their community’s energy choices. Finally, the team needed to create a better energy journey for their community. The members of the Solar Sunrise team are Katelynn Burken, Marley Fuller, Cody Gravert, Luke Gravert, Landon Green, Hayleigh Lorenzen, Lakin Springer, and Addi Totten. The team is coached by Sheryl Kennedy.

FROM MRS. MUNSON
An important skill that CES students have talked about during classroom counseling lessons is: “I can understand another person’s point of view”. It is not always easy or comfortable to stop and think about another person’s perspective, but it is an essential skill for building and maintaining constructive relationships. Teaching children how to take others’ perspectives is a needed aspect of education and socialization. Becoming skillful in understanding the perspective of others can significantly improve their quality of life.
