CES will be recognizing Elyna’s Kid Captain game by wearing Iowa Hawkeye apparel on Thursday, October 27th.
LUNCH VISITORS
Adult guests are welcome to come to school and eat lunch with their students J We have just a couple of rules that must be followed for guest lunches:
1. Please call the school before 8:30 a.m. on the day that you would like to have lunch with your student. Our lunches are prepared at the middle school and we must order the number of hot lunches necessary each day. You are also welcome to bring a cold lunch from home.
2. Only people listed as a contact in JMC can join a student for lunch. If you would like to change the contacts please do so with the office.
3. All guests MUST bring a driver’s license to the office and get a visitor’s pass before going to the cafeteria.
PTA NEWS
We are excited to announce the first field trip fundraiser night will be at Saint Giuseppe’s on Thursday, September 29th! They will be donating a portion of the evening’s sales to our field trip fund. Last year, we were able to send our students to the Bettendorf Family Museum, Circa 21, The Sawmill Museum, The Putnam Museum, and the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. Thank you to the sponsors, our awesome families, and community for helping provide these experiences to our students!! You can contact the PTA through the Camanche Elementary PTA Facebook page or stormpta@yahoo.com.
FROM MRS. MUNSON
This week talk with your student about how they can “choose kindness with their words and actions”. The best thing we can do to make the world a better place is to create a culture of kindness. CES students are learning about how kindness helps fill their bucket as well as the buckets of others. Students that complete acts of kindness can have their name put on a heart for our CES Tree of Kindness. Each grade level has their own color for our tree. Let’s see how colorful we can make it!! I am so excited to watch our tree grow with all the students’ acts of kindness! Here is an amazing article with simple ways to teach your children kindness: https://www.parents.com/kids/d...
Sincerely, Mrs. Munson
FALL FEST
Just a reminder that we are limited on what we can offer students for treats during classroom celebrations. Please refer to our Student Handbook that can be found on the district website under Elementary and Information. If you would like to have treats for your child’s classroom they can be ordered through the school. We also encourage nonfood items such as pencils, stickers, erasers, or other options available at dollar stores. Please call CES at 563-259-3016 if you have any questions.
