NO SCHOOL NEXT WEEK!

Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL March 14th-18th due to Spring Break.

THANK YOU

A big THANK YOU to the many families that attended Parent/Teacher Conferences last week! If you were unable to make your child’s conferences, please contact your child’s teacher to try to reschedule. Our goal is 100% participation!

Another big THANK YOU to the members of the PTA for providing a meal for our staff during conferences and to everyone that brought in snacks and treats!

TIME TO SPRING FORWARD THIS WEEKEND!

This Sunday, March 13th, it will be time to SPRING FORWARD to Daylight Savings Time. Be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour on Sunday. Just a reminder that school starts each morning at 7:58 and the tardy bell rings at 8:03.

SPELLING BEE CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to our spelling bee champions in grades 2, 3, and 4! Sophia Morrow is our School-wide Champion and the 4th grade spelling champion! She will advance to the Regional Competition in March in the Quad Cities. She will face other school spelling bee champions from various schools in the Quad City area. Cody Gravert is the 3rd grade spelling bee winner. Sophia Munson is the 2nd grade spelling bee winner. In our school championship round, Sophia Munson earned 2nd place. These students, as well as all the other children who accepted this challenge, studied lengthy lists of spelling words! We are so proud of all of all of our dedicated spelling bee participants!

FROM MRS. MUNSON

This week discuss with your student: “A place for everything, everything in its place”. Developing good organizational skills is a key aspect for success in school and in life. Although some people by nature are more organized than others, anyone can put routines and systems in place to help a child become more organized. Take a look at one of these articles for some great tips to help your child become more organized.
