WINTER MUSIC PROGRAM

                        DATE: Monday, December 20th

                        LOCATION: Camanche High School Gym

TIME(S):          Afternoon: 1:30 p.m. – This will be a TK-4th grade program (Students will be bussed to and from this program)

                        Evening: 6:00 p.m. -- TK-2nd Grade

                                      7:00 p.m. -- 3rd–4th Grade

What your child(ren) should wear: Comfort is key – The kids are standing on risers, and some may be sitting on the floor for instrument play or movement. We ask that no students wear hats as this could be a distraction on the risers and during movement it could be a safety issue.

For the afternoon program: All children will be transported to and from the elementary school, and will go home as they usually do from school.

For the evening programs:

TK-2nd grade students: Please arrive to your assigned high school room by 5:45 p.m.

3rd-4th grade students: Please arrive to your assigned high school room by 6:45 p.m.

-- You will pick your child(ren) up from the same classroom after the program is done.

If you have children in both evening programs: You must pick up your younger child when his/her program is done and have them watch the 3rd and 4th grade program. For the older child(ren), they will get to watch the TK-2nd grade program with you, as they will not be allowed into their assigned classrooms until 6:45 p.m.

FROM MRS. MUNSON

This week talk with your student about how they can “choose kindness with their words and actions”. The best thing we can do to make the world a better place is to create a culture of kindness. The world needs more kindness, especially in times of stress. This is a perfect time to teach our children about the importance of showing kindness and compassion to everyone we meet. Here is an amazing article with simple ways to teach your children kindness: https://www.parents.com/kids/development/social/teaching-kids-to-be-kind/

Have a great winter break,

Mrs. Munson
