Birthday treats are available to order from the Camanche CSD Food Service department. They must be ordered ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE of the date you would like them delivered to your student’s classroom. Please see the attached Birthday Snack order form. FLU SHOTS

We will be participating in the Genesis Flu-Free Quad Cities vaccine program for elementary students K-5. Genesis VNA provides this community service to us. The program provides a free flu shot to any student that has parent consent. The clinic will be here at school on Monday, October 11th. Please see the attached information sheet. An ONLINE CONSENT FORM will need to be completed for your student to participate in the program. The online form can be found here: Genesis Consent Form

FALL FEST

Camanche Elementary will be celebrating fall with a Fall Fest on Friday, October 29th. We ask that any family that wishes to purchase a snack and drink for their student’s classroom make their purchase through the CES main office. Cost is .90 per student. For example, a classroom that has 20 students would cost $18.00. All orders are due by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15th. Thank you for keeping our students safe!

CONFLICT MANAGERS

CONGRATULATIONS & THANK YOU to the 2021-2022 Conflict Managers as we enter our 29th year of this program. Conflict Managers have to work hard to complete the training, and they donate a few recesses each week to help our school be a more peaceful place.

FROM MRS. MUNSON

Our students have been doing awesome at using their Big Deals, Little Deals strategies to help with problem solving. They are still learning these important skills and sometimes need extra help and support in this area. When that happens we have been using restorative justice circles to help them collaboratively solve problems, take responsibility, and encourage our caring community here at CES. It is in this safe and supportive space that students have done amazingly at having very constructive conversations. For more information on restorative justice and how you can incorporate it at home visit: https://www.parenttoday.org/bringing-the-lessons-of-restorative-justice-home/

Have a great three-day weekend!

Mrs. Munson
