MUSIC NOTES

All Camanche Elementary Families: Please see that your child wears their gym shoes on the days they have music class. If you have any questions or concerns, I can be contacted through the school, class dojo, or by email at: jmeyer@camanchecsd.org.

Thank you! - Miss Jen, Music Teacher

GYM SHOES

Mr. Peppers would like to remind all our families that gym shoes are required for his students to participate in PE class.  Please see that your child wears their gym shoes on the days they have PE.  You are also welcome to leave a pair of gym shoes at school so that your student is always prepared J

With that in mind, if you happen to have any used shoes that are in good condition, and you are willing to donate to his program, Mr. Peppers would be happy to take them off your hands to share with students that forget to wear their gym shoes to his class.

MEET MRS. MUNSON

Dear Camanche Elementary Families,

For those of you who are new to Camanche Elementary School, “Welcome to your new school”! If you are returning, “Welcome back”! My name is Michele Munson and I am the new school counselor.

As a school counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, conducting classroom counseling lessons, meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Camanche Elementary students.

You may have noticed above that I put in bold and underlined the work “all” students. Sometimes when the term “counselor” is heard, some may perceive that a counselor may only work with a select few students in a 1:1 counseling capacity, but that is not the case. School counseling programs reach and meet the needs of all students in a school through many various ways, including those listed above. Parent conferences and consultations are an important part of my job. So, if you ever have any questions or concerns, please to not hesitate to contact me by phone (563) 259-3000 or email mmunson@camanchecsd.org at any time.

I am so excited to work with your children and get to know you throughout the school year!

All the best, Michele Munson ~ School Counselor ~ Camanche Elementary School

FREE MEALS FOR STUDENTS

In an effort to help families, the USDA is continuing to provide temporary funding so that Camanche Schools can offer our students FREE breakfast and lunch for the 2021-2022 school year.

Please continue to fill out Free and Reduced lunch applications if you feel your family may qualify. These applications are used to reduce other fees and in providing P-EBT cards.
