Bikes should be parked in the bike racks, not at the flagpole!!!!!
Iowa State Testing Next Week
Beginning next week through April 20 we will be ISASP testing in grades 5-8. The following are some suggestions to help your student to perform to the best of their ability:
-Get plenty of sleep (7-8 hours each night is recommended)
-Eat a healthy breakfast (school breakfast is served starting at 7:35am)
-Dress comfortably in layers
-Bring a water bottle and book for reading
-Have chrome book charged
Science Club 5th and 6th Grade POSTPONED till further notice.
Mrs. Clark has started coaching middle school track. Mrs. Clark will make an announcement when Science Club resumes after the track season has ended.
7th/8th Grade track practice has begun
First meet is April 16th
Future 7th Graders
6th graders, soon to become 7th graders, please schedule your Tdap and Meningities vaccines soon. They are required for the first day of school for 7th grade.
Diversity Club
Camanche Diversity club will meet Monday April 26th after school until 4pm. Diversity club is a place where all students are welcomed and supported. Please see Mrs. Winslow if you have any questions.
Battle of the Books for 5th & 6th Grade
Thursday, May 20 in the media center at 6:30pm. Students should form teams of 4 people and start reading the Iowa Children’s Choice books to prepare. Ask their literacy teachers or Mrs. Eissens for more details.
Yearbook sales have ended
If you still want a yearbook, but missed out on the sale let the Middle School office know. We do have extras that have been ordered and we can put one on reserve just for you!!! They are $15.00. As of now they are available till the extras are sold.
Kiss the Pig Contest
Mrs. Gilbert is a contestant for this year's MDA Kiss the Pig Contest.
We have a collection jar in the office.
Send in your change or bills to help her find romance this June.
Pedestrian Cross Walks
At the crossings of 7th Ave/Washington Blvd and 9th Ave/Washington Blvd the city has installed push button pedestrian crosswalk signs. Please use them for crossing. When you push the button traffic will stop and it makes for a much safer crossing.
