FALL FEST
Camanche Elementary will be celebrating fall with a Fall Fest on Friday, October 30th. Any family that would like to purchase a snack and drink for their student’s classroom, please contact the CES main office. Cost is $1.10 per student. For example, a classroom that has 20 students would cost $22. All orders are due by Friday, October 23rd. Nonfood items such as erasers, pencils, silly straws, stickers, Play-Doh, and other similar treats are welcome at celebrations as well. Thank you for keeping our students safe!
NO SCHOOL
Reminder – there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 16th and Monday, October 19th.
CELEBRATING OUR 3R SUPER STARS
At our school, we believe in recognizing students for the positive choices they make each day! We are excited to celebrate students and classrooms who demonstrate our 3Rs – Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn! Here are some of the fun ways we recognize our students:
Our 3R Super Star Lifesavers – 2nd Grade earned this award
At every school assembly, we recognize the class that has kept our bathrooms the cleanest! These students are our Lifesavers because they are showing responsibility and respect for our shared spaces. As a special celebration, they receive Lifesavers or Starburst for being 3R Super Stars!
The Traveling Clean Room Troll – Mrs. Klahn’s classroom earned this
Our classrooms have a special visitor who loves a clean and organized room! Each month, our Traveling Clean Room Troll gets to pack her bags and move into the classroom that has done the best job keeping their room clean, organized, and cared for. Students love seeing her arrive in their classroom and knowing that their hard work has been noticed!
Celebrating Our Grade Levels – 3rd Grade earned this award
We also celebrate our grade levels when they demonstrate outstanding 3R behavior and teamwork. The grade level being recognized gets a special spot on our cafeteria recognition board, giving everyone a chance to celebrate their accomplishment!
Race to 15!
Each grade level’s homerooms are racing to 15 points. Classes earn points for demonstrating our 3R expectations. One point is earned daily from one of the classrooms. Once a class reaches 15 points, they earn extra recess, and Mrs. Dohse covers recess for their teacher! Then the race starts all over again! Once another class from each grade level reaches 15 points, we celebrate again and begin a new race.
Celebrating the Good!
These celebrations are about so much more than prizes. They give us opportunities to recognize students for being Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn and to celebrate the positive choices they make every day. We are proud of our students and love finding ways to say: “We see you making great choices, and we are proud of you!”
