FUN LEARNING AT HOME!
Learning doesn’t have to feel like extra homework! There are many simple and fun ways to practice reading and math together at home.
For Reading: Read a favorite book together, take turns reading pages, talk about the characters and what might happen next, or have your child tell you about their favorite part. Even reading a menu, recipe, directions, or signs while out and about helps build reading skills!
For Math: Look for math in everyday activities! Have your child help measure ingredients while cooking, count objects, compare prices at the store, play a board or card game, or practice adding and subtracting during everyday activities.
Family Challenge: Set aside 15 minutes each day for one week to read together or play a math game. At the end of the week, celebrate your family’s learning with a special activity, such as choosing a favorite book, playing a family game, or having a cozy movie night!
Most importantly, keep it fun and encourage your child’s effort! A few minutes of enjoyable reading and math each day can make a big difference.

This week in counseling –--
3rd graders are learning about self-control and practicing the strategy “Stop, Think, Then Act” to help us make thoughtful choices.
4th graders received their Feelings Dictionaries. We practiced how to use them to identify and better understand different emotions.
K-2nd will resume PATHS lessons next week, as we have a school assembly this Friday during our regular PATHS time.
Leadership Passport Reminder: 3rd and 4th grade students – Don’t forget to turn in your thank-you letter for an Honor Flight veteran! Students who participate will earn a gratitude stamp in their passport.
