We’re excited to share that Greenlee is hosting its annual Sports Media and Communication Training Camp (SMTC) this summer. This is an incredible opportunity for high school students who are interested in sports and media careers. We also have a few students in our group who are from the Camanche area, so it was especially important to us to make sure this opportunity reached counselors like you who are making such a big impact on students’ futures.

Here’s a quick look at the camp:

• Date: Monday, June 15, 2026

• Time: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

• Location: Iowa State University (Hilton Coliseum & Hamilton Hall)

• Cost: $50 (includes lunch, t-shirt, and all activities)

• Financial assistance: Available

This is not your typical sit-and-listen camp; students actually do the work. Throughout the day, they’ll:

• Step inside real control rooms used for ESPN+ productions

• Film and edit their own sports footage

• Tour Hilton Coliseum and see behind the scenes of Iowa State Athletics

• Meet professionals and students who are actively working in the industry

It’s a really fun, high-energy day that gives students a genuine feel for what a future in sports media could look like.
