Attention 7th and 8th grade athletes Mrs. Phillips will be checking eligibility this week. Grades need to be above failing in order to participate.
7/8th Grade Girls Track!!
There is a track sign up sheet in the office for anyone interested in track. Track will begin in April. You also need to sign up on Bound before the first practice.
Middle School Softball sign up!!!
If you are going to be in 7th/8th grade for the 2026/2027 school year and are interested in playing softball the sign up is in the office. Practices will begin in May. The games are in June and the season is done before July 4th.
The CMS Presents The Magical Land of OZ
February 27th and 28th
Show time will be 7:00PM in the theater. This musical is great for all ages!
General admission seating is $5.00 for students/seniors.
$8.00 for adults.
Tickets are on sale now through Bound!
Battle of the Books!!
Battle of the books is starting, and it’s open to all 5th and 6th graders. Grab one to four teammates and challenge yourselves to read as many books as you can from this year’s 10 selected Battle books. Your team will have until the end of April to read them.
If you enjoy reading, teamwork, or a little friendly competition, this is for you. Stop by and see Mrs. Kennedy or Mr. Kampe to sign up or to get more information.

Full-Day Preschool Program to be offered 2026/2027 School Year
The Camanche Community School District is excited to share an update regarding our preschool programming for the 2026-2027 school year. As part of our continued efforts to grow and improve early learning opportunities, one preschool section of 20 students will be offered in a full-day model.
Full-Day Preschool Program Details:
Monday through Thursday, following the same hours as the elementary.
No school on Fridays
Cost: $400 per month, due on the 5th of each month (Sept.-May)
There is no waiver process.
Lunch Information
School lunch will be available at the same cost as students
Families may apply for free or reduced lunch through the standard waiver process.
At this time, the district plans to offer:
One full-day preschool classroom, and
One classroom with AM and PM sessions
Families are encouraged to attend our Preschool Information Night on
