NO SCHOOL
There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, February 13th due to a Teacher Professional Learning Day
CES SPELLING BEE
Our school recently held its annual spelling bee, and our students showed impressive focus, effort, and dedication. Earlier in the week, each grade level hosted its own spelling bee. The grade-level winners were Brynne Hilgendorf (fourth grade), Iris Thomson (third grade), and Ashlynn Gravert (second grade).
Following those competitions, the top spellers from each grade advanced to the school spelling bee. Iris Thomson was named our school spelling bee champion and will move on to the next level of the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
We are proud of all the students who took on this challenge. Fourth-grade participants included Izaak Cinadr, Cully Enlow, Brynne Hilgendorf, Jenna Lehmkuhl, Harper Mink, Mckinley Schwandt, Autumn Snodgrass, and Garrett Snodgrass. We also recognize our third graders for their dedication to learning their spelling words: Mayva Clements, Kinnick Coffey, Emery Drury, Kierstyn Handy, Declan Handley, Lily Lambert, Addi McDonnell, Bailee Peterson, and Iris Thomson. Hardworking second-grade spellers were Ashlynn Gravert, Kellen Graves, Holden Jennings, Deacon Klahn, Daniel Maloy, Sophia Stevens, Thea Sweeney, and Mycle Thomas.
Congratulations to all of our hardworking spellers for a job well done!
