CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to our school Sumdog Math team!  They earned 1st place in the Statewide Sumdog math contest.  Mckinley Schwandt earned 1st place with the highest score in this year's math competition.  The top 10 scores were all earned by Camanche Sumdog team members.  They were: Mayva Clements, Garrett Snodgrass, Iris Thomson, Jenna Lehmkuhl, Kinnick Coffey, Bailee Peterson, Declan Handley, Brynne Hilgendorf, and Cully Enlow.  Kierstyn Handy, Lily Lambert, Addi McDonnell, Emery Drury, and Izaak Cinadr also scored well in the contest. These students' scores were determined by how accurately they answered 1000 math problems in one week. The team was coached by Sheryl Kennedy.  We are so proud of these determined and dedicated mathematicians.

FROM MRS. MUNSON

Using our strengths to help others – This week, we're learning how to use our unique strengths and talents to make our school and community a better place! Everyone has special things they’re good at - like being kind, solving problems, or being creative - and when we use those strengths to help others, it makes us feel great too. Helping out can boost confidence, build connections with others, and even improve our overall well-being. It’s a win-win! Talk with your child about what they’re good at and enjoy doing. Then brainstorm ways your family can use those strengths to give back - at school, in your neighborhood, or beyond! Check out this list of 17 ways to give back using your strengths: https://livehappy.com/giving/17-ways-to-give-back-according-to-your-strengths/  Listen to this podcast for kids about making a difference: https://shows.acast.com/the-big-life-kids-podcast/episodes/episode-eight Let’s inspire each other to do good and grow stronger – together!
