LAST DAY OF SCHOOL - EARLY DISMISSAL
We will have a ONE HOUR EARLY DISMISSAL on the last day of school, Thursday, June 5th. Students riding the bus will dismiss at 2:08 and all other students will dismiss at 2:15.
SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM
Students, up to the age of 18, have the ability to go to either Jefferson Elementary or Bluff Elementary schools, in Clinton, to participate in the summer meal program. There is no charge for these breakfasts or lunches. The program runs from June 9th – June 27th and July 7th – Aug 1st from 7:30-8:30 a.m. (breakfast Jefferson only) and 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. (lunch) Monday through Friday.
FROM THE NURSE’S OFFICE
If your child has any prescription or over the counter medication at school, please pick it up by NOON on MONDAY, JUNE 9TH. Leftover medication cannot be sent home with students for the safety of them and others. If the medications are not picked up, they are automatically discarded. If you have questions regarding our medication policy, feel free to contact the school nurse.
LOST AND FOUND
Parents, please make time before or after school to stop in the hallway outside of our cafeteria to look through the abundance of lost and found items. Any items that have not been retrieved BEFORE the end of the school year will be donated to Goodwill. Thank you!
2025-2026 SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will be completed online. Parents, please make sure that your contact information is up to date in JMC. Communication regarding registration for next school year will be shared via text and/or email as soon as online registration opens.
FROM THE PTA
The CES yearbook is on sale! Our 4th graders selected “Smiley” as our theme this year. The cost is $22 for a softcover and $28.32 for a hardcover. Here is the link for purchasing the yearbook: https://web.treering.com/create-account/1015351206774106?PassCode=1015351206774106 Due to busy schedules and still collecting pictures, yearbooks will be delivered when school resumes in the fall. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes but we want to provide the same quality we have with the previous books.
On your mark, get set, GO! Coin Wars end this Friday, May 30th. There will be prizes for the top class of the day and overall champion. REMEMBER pennies and bills go in your classroom’s bucket and silver coins go in any other buckets.
The PTA can be contacted through our Camanche Elementary PTA Facebook Messenger, and we are transitioning to a new email: camanchestormpta@gmail.com. HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
FROM MRS. MUNSON
This week’s discussion is “look how far I’ve come”. Spend time this week reflecting with your child on how far they have come in the last year. Discuss how much they have learned academically as well as how much they have matured socially and emotionally. Most importantly have a great summer and enjoy some time together as a family outside. We can’t wait to see all of you back here in the fall.
Here are some books to read together:
· The Egg by M. P. Robertson
· A Letter to My Teacher by Deborah Hopkinson
· Last Day Hurray by Nancy Poydar
