NO SCHOOL MONDAY, MAY 26TH
There will be NO SCHOOL on MONDAY, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL - EARLY DISMISSAL
We will have a ONE HOUR EARLY DISMISSAL on the last day of school, Thursday, June 5th. Students riding the bus will dismiss at 2:08 and all other students will dismiss at 2:15.
SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM
Students, up to the age of 18, have the ability to go to either Jefferson Elementary or Bluff Elementary schools, in Clinton, to participate in the summer meal program. There is no charge for these breakfasts or lunches. The program runs from June 9th – June 27th and July 7th – Aug 1st from 7:30-8:30 a.m. (breakfast Jefferson only) and 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. (lunch) Monday through Friday.
LOST AND FOUND
Parents, please make time before or after school to stop in the hallway outside of our cafeteria to look through the abundance of lost and found items. Any items that have not been retrieved BEFORE the end of the school year will be donated to Goodwill. Thank you!
2025-2026 SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will be completed online. Parents, please make sure that your contact information is up to date in JMC. Communication regarding registration for next school year will be shared via text and/or email as soon as online registration opens.
NEWS FROM THE PTA
The CES yearbook is on sale! Our 4th graders selected “Smiley” as our theme this year. The cost is $22 for a softcover and $28.32 for a hardcover. Here is the link for purchasing the yearbook: https://web.treering.com/create-account/1015351206774106?PassCode=1015351206774106
On your mark, get set, GO! Coin Wars are coming May 27th– 30th. There will be prizes for the top class of the day and overall champion. REMEMBER – pennies and bills go in your classroom’s bucket and silver coins go in any other buckets.

We all make mistakes – some big, some little. No matter what the mistake is, we can learn something from it! This week talk about how “mistakes help me learn and grow” encourages our students to have a growth mindset which is a topic they learn about in counseling lessons.
Here are some books to read together:
