CAMANCHE ELEMENTARY: ENDGAME OF HUNGER

On your left. The Avengers can do this all day. Thanos has been defeated. The infinity stones are safe. And Mrs. Low’s 4th grade class Avenger came out ahead and defeated him first! Congratulations to them! How did they win? If you ask Dr. Strange he would say: “Study and practice. Years of it.” They won an extra recess, a special hero treat, and the Food Drive Traveling Trophy. We also have to mention that Ms. McMinimy’s 3rd grade class came in second and Mrs. Hiher’s 3rd grade class came in third.

Camanche Elementary is a group of awesome Avengers and they have helped in the Endgame of Hunger! Camanche Elementary School as a whole donated over 2,375 non-perishable items and $146.00. Great job Avengers! Ain’t no thing like you, ‘cept you. Long live CES! Camanche forever!

BREAKFAST REMINDER

Just a reminder that non-bus riding students that eat breakfast at school are encouraged to come to school by 7:45 a.m. to allow enough time for them to have a healthy school breakfast before school starts.

DON’T FORGET TENNIS SHOES!

Winter is here!  We are so happy to see so many students wearing warm boots to and from school, but we’d like to remind parents to also send tennis shoes for your student to change in to once they are in the building. This is particularly necessary for gym class!  Thank you!

ARTSONIA ROCKS!

Thank you to those parents who have given your child’s permission to be on our school website for art class, Artsonia. With this website, Mrs. Wallace takes pictures of your child’s artwork, and then parents can buy products with their child’s artwork on those products, such as t-shirts, coffee mugs, key chains, and much more!

Then, a portion of the proceeds purchased items goes back to the art classroom. Most recently, Mrs. Wallace was able to buy brand new markers with that money! Thank you for your support, and if more parents would like their child to be part of Artsonia, please email Mrs. Wallace at awallace@camanchecsd.org. Thank you!

HEALTHY HABITS CALENDAR

We hope your student is having fun completing activities from the November Healthy Habits Calendar! Just a reminder that any student that completes at least 23 activities listed on the calendar AND returns their calendar to Mr. D on December 2nd will receive an extra recess with Mr. D.!

COATS FOR KIDS

Cold weather is here! If you or your child(ren) are in need of a winter coat, please contact Carrie Graves at 563-259-3016 or cgraves@camanchecsd.org. We have new to gently used coats (children through men’s/women’s sizes) that we are able to give to anyone in need. Remember that all information is kept strictly confidential. Also, if you would like to donate a new or gently used coat and/or clothing, you can drop it off in the main office during business hours. Thank you!
