SPRING PICTURES – TOMORROW!
Inter-State Studio will be at Camanche Elementary tomorrow, February 23rd to take spring pictures. All orders must be placed online at https://inter-state.com/FlyerEntry/85268DF Our school order code is 85268DF.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 6th and Thursday, March 7th from 1:30-7:15 p.m. A notice indicating the time and place of your child’s conference will be sent home soon. Please return this note as soon as possible to confirm your conference time. Report cards will be sent home with students the day before conferences.
DUE TO CONFERENCES, WE WILL HAVE AN EARLY DISMISSAL AT 1:08/1:15 ON BOTH DAYS.
THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, MARCH 9TH.
Our 3rd and 4th grade students will be leading their conferences. They are preparing for this opportunity over the next few weeks. The students will share their strengths and areas that need growth. They are also setting goals for themselves in each class. This gives our students opportunities to engage in their growth and play an active role in planning for their own learning.
SCHOOL SPELLING BEE
Congratulations to Garrett Snodgrass. He is our CES Spelling Bee Champion. He qualified to attend the regional competition at Augustana College. Dylan Council earned 2nd place. Lincoln Petersen earned 3rd place. Each of those boys were the spelling champion for their grade level.
NO SCHOOL – SPRING BREAK
There will be NO SCHOOL March 11th-15th due to Spring Break.
PTA NEWS
It’s that time of year when we start working on the yearbook. The fourth graders will be helping us pick the theme. Fourth grade parents, please send us your favorite baby picture for the “Guess the 4th Grader Baby” page. These can be sent to the Camanche Elementary PTA Facebook Messenger or email stormpta@yahoo.com. Yearbooks are $22 plus tax for soft cover and $28.32 for hard cover. Don’t forget you can design two FREE custom pages of your student in their book. Custom pages must be completed by April 30th. The yearbook will be submitted May 5th to guarantee delivery by the end of the school year. No matter what the mistake is, we can learn something from it! “Mistakes help me learn and grow” is language that encourages our students to have a growth mindset, which is a topic they learn about here at CES.
