PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES – NEXT WEEK!
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Wednesday, October 9th & Thursday, October 10th from 1:30-7:15 p.m. Notices indicating the time and place of your child’s conference should have come home this week. Please return these notices as soon as possible to confirm your conference time. Report cards will be sent home with students the day before conferences.
DUE TO CONFERENCES, WE WILL BE HAVING AN EARLY DISMISSAL AT 1:08/1:15 ON BOTH DAYS.
THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11TH.

Our Scholastic Book Fair is right around the corner! We will host the book fair in our MIDDLE SCHOOL Media Center during our fall conferences (1:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) on Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th. Watch for flyers to be sent home early next week for information on how you can order from home and have your order sent directly to school where we will deliver to your children. Can’t wait to see all of you, and watch the students’ faces light up with the prospect of buying books of their own!
SCHOOL PICTURE DAY
Lifetouch will be here on Thursday, October 17th to take our fall pictures. Picture order forms will be sent home on Monday, October 14th. If you place your order online at mylifetouch.com, there is no need to return the order form to school. To pay by cash or check, please complete the order form and return to school before or on picture day. Late orders cannot be accepted.
CES READING GOAL
As a school, we set a goal of reading 109,000 minutes in the month of September. We read 90,870 minutes. Reading with your children is one of the most important supports you can give them. Let’s work extra hard in October to earn our celebration! We will wear hats on November 11th if/when we reach our goal. If we do not reach our entire school goal the class that exceeds their goal the most will get to wear hats. Thank you for helping support this work!
ATTENDANCE
If your student is going to be absent, will arrive late, or needs to leave early, please make sure to call the main office no later than 9 a.m. on the day of the absence, tardy, or early dismissal.
Our attendance is currently 97.36%. As a school, we have set a goal of 96.5%. Thank you for working with us to reach that goal, EVERY DAY matters.
