Classes Resume January 3!!!
7th/8th GRADE STUDENTS-SEMESTER SCHEDULE CHANGES
7th and 8th grade students wishing to change their schedule to drop band or choir should talk to their teacher. If students would like to add band or choir to their schedule, please see Mrs. Winslow. The last date to make changes for band and choir in 7th and 8th grade will be January 19th, 2024.

Boys Basketball practice begins January 3 from 3:30-5:30pm.
First game will be January 18th at Beckman.
Girls Wrestling practice has begun. It is not too late to sign up!
First meet is January 22 at West Liberty.

CMS PRESENTS “James and the Giant Peach”
Play Practices are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30-5:00 unless otherwise communicated to the cast. The first practice will be this Thursday, January 4 in Mrs. Eissens room 335.
No school = No practice.
The Performances will be on February, 23 and 24 at 7PM in the new theater. Tickets will be sold online and at the door.
7TH AND 8TH GRADERS-STAND FOR THE SILENT
Were you inspired by the Stand for the Silent presentation? Would you like to get involved in a Stand for the Silent group to help share their anti-bullying message? We are looking for students who would like to take a leadership role and help inform other students about bullying and its effects. Application forms are available in the office and will be due January 12th, 2024.
CONGRATULATIONS LEGO LEAGUE TEAMS!!!!
All 4 CMS Lego League teams, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th, earned a trip to the state competition in Ames on January 27 and 28. There are only 100 teams chosen in the whole state of Iowa and we have 4 middle school teams going plus our 4th grade team also qualified!! Camanche will be taking state by Storm!!

SOME REMINDERS FOR THE NEW YEAR
LUNCHROOM
If you are wanting a salad or a deli in place of the main entrée you must get your order in by 9:00 A.M.
RECESS
Yes, we will still be going outside for recess when possible. Please bring your coats to lunch.
PHONES AND PURSES
These items are to remain in your locker during school hours. Please only bring your necessary items needed for class.
LOCKER ROOMS
Locker rooms are to only be used at the beginning of the day and end of day for dropping and picking up gear for sports practice. You are not to use the locker rooms for your personal storage.
OFFICE HOURS
Office hours are from 3:06-3:20 P.M. This time is offered for extra help or questions that students may have regarding an assignment. Teachers may also request a student for office hours. Your student will receive a message during the day from the teacher if being requested.
