JUST 3 DAYS LEFT!

The last day of school is Tuesday, June 4th! The end of the school year has many special events in store such as class picnics, field trips, and track and field days. As we enter into the “home stretch” we ask that all parents encourage children to exercise their best behavior and keep up with their assignments. Classroom behavior and work completion will play a large factor in students’ eligibility to participate in these special events. Thank you!

LOST AND FOUND

Parents, please make time before or after school to stop in the hallway outside of our cafeteria to look through the abundance of lost and found items.  Any items that have not been retrieved BEFORE the end of the school year will be donated to Goodwill. Thank you!

SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM

Students, up to the age of 18, have the ability to go to either Jefferson Elementary or Bluff Elementary schools, in Clinton, to participate in the summer meal program. There is no charge for these lunches. The program runs from June 10th through August 2nd (excluding July 4th) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

2019-2020 REGISTRATION

Registration for the 2019-2020 school year will be completely online. Parents, please make sure that your contact information is up-to-date in JMC. Communication regarding registration for next school year will be shared via text and/or email as soon as online registration opens. The district will not be having a district wide registration day at the high school this year.  More information to come soon!

FEES & UNPAID BALANCES

Please strive to get your students’ bus fees, book fees, and library fees paid up. Some lunch accounts are also past due. Balances of all students’ accounts will carry over to the following school year. Balances of 4th grade students will carry over to their 5th grade accounts at the middle school. All unpaid balances that carry over to the next school year will show as additional amounts owed during online registration.

ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER CHANGES

If you have had a change of address or phone number, please remember to contact Camanche Elementary with this new information so your child’s records can be updated. It is imperative that we have your correct information so that you can receive all district communication.

HEALTHY HABITS CALENDAR

May Healthy Habits calendars are due Monday, June 3rd. Just a reminder that any students that complete at least 23 days of activities listed on the calendar AND return the calendar to school on Monday, June 3rd will receive an extra recess with Mr. D.!  Let’s finish strong CES!

FROM NURSE KATHY

If your child has prescription or over-the-counter medication at school, it will be important to stop in and pick it up before or at the completion of the school year. Left over medication cannot be sent home with students for the safety of them and others. If the medications are not picked up, they are automatically discarded. If you have questions regarding our medication policy, feel free to contact the school nurse.

ATTENDANCE

If your student is going to be absent, will arrive late, or needs to leave early, please make sure to call the main office no later than 9 a.m. on the day of the absence, tardy or early dismissal.

Our attendance is currently 95.66%. We as a school have set a goal of 97%. Thank you for working with us to reach that goal, EVERY DAY matters.

CES READING GOAL

As a school we have set a goal of 98,500 minutes in the month of May. So far, our school has read 82,235 minutes. We will celebrate if/when we reach our goal. Thank you for helping support this work!
