CONGRATULATIONS!

            Congratulations to our Regional Battle of the Books teams. They did an outstanding job! Ramsay Bishop, Elyna Clements, Cody Gravert, and Lakin Springer earned first place in the fourth grade competition. Katelynn Burken, Luke Gravert, Landon Green, and Addi Totten earned second place. Their scores were very close. Sophia Munson, Hattie Noble, and Owen Steines earned first place in the third grade division. Jocelyn Bark, Hunter Bray, River Murphy, and Greta Thomson earned second place. Mrs. Kennedy coached the teams. We are so proud of their determination and dedication!

 

SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM

            Students, up to the age of 18, have the ability to go to either Eagle Heights Elementary or Jefferson Elementary schools, in Clinton, to participate in the summer meal program. There is no charge for these breakfasts or lunches. The program runs from June 12th – June 30th and July 10th – August 4th from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. (breakfast) and 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (lunch) Monday through Friday.

 

OOPS CLOTHING

            If clothing has been sent home with your child due to an accident, bloody nose, or spill at school, please wash and return the borrowed clothing. Our supply is getting very low! Additionally, if you have any leggings, sweatpants, or tops that your children have outgrown, we are happily accepting donations!  Thank you!

 

FROM THE MUSIC STUDIO

            Spring Music Informances are coming up! The kids and I are excited to share with you what music class day to day looks like and “inform you” what they have learned. Here is the schedule:

Plan on arriving only about 10 minutes before we begin. (We will start promptly.) You will come into the school by the gym.

FROM MRS. MUNSON

            This week discuss with your student(s): “I do not like it, but I will accept it”. Things don’t always go the way we want them to. Learning to be flexible and accepting things that we don’t necessarily like or agree with is a valuable life skill that uses a growth mindset. We want to teach kids how to respond gracefully, be flexible thinkers, and use the coping skills needed so they can be successful at home, in school, and in their future careers. NEWS FROM THE PTA

         Yearbook deadline is this week! We are still accepting 4th grade baby pictures until 5/5. Please submit them to the Camanche Elementary PTA Messenger or stormpta@yahoo.com. The yearbook will be submitted at midnight on May 5th.

Thank you to all the businesses, families, and community for supporting our field trip fundraisers. Your support raised over $1,600 for CES field trips!!!!

1-2-3-4 we declare a Penny War! Penny Wars is coming May 22nd-26th. The class with the most points each day will win a prize. The class who has the most points for the week will also win a prize.
