NO SCHOOL NEXT WEEK – SPRING BREAK
There will be NO SCHOOL March 10th-17th due to Spring Break.
FROM MRS. MUNSON
It is important to talk with your student about: “we don’t have to be best friends, but we do have to be respectful”. We do not have to agree and be best friends with everyone we meet, but it is important to show respect and empathy. We have been focusing on student relationships. Students have been learning about empathy. Understanding how someone else feels is a very important skill to learn in order to be successful working alongside others not only now, but in the future. Check out these articles to help with teaching kids respect at home:
Check out some of these books with your student this week:
· I Can’t Believe You Said That by Julia Cook
· Cliques Just Don’t Make Cents by Julia Cook
· Try a Little Kindness by Henry Cole
· Be Kind by Pat Zietlow Miller
· One Smile by Cindy McKinley
· Words: Understand Their Power by Linda Ragsdale
· Mr. Peabody’s Apples by Madonna
· The Berenstain Bears and the Trouble with Friends by Stan and Jan Berenstain
· Tease Monster by Julia Cook
I hope everyone has a safe and fun spring break!
