CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to our school Sumdog team! The team earned first place out of 29 teams in the Winter Sumdog contest. Lakin Springer earned first place out of 368 participants! Landon Green earned second place. Addi Totten was in third. Luke Gravert was fourth. Owen Steines was fifth. Hattie Noble, Elyna Clements, Greta Thomson, and Kennedy Schwandt finished in the top 10! The students had to complete 1000 math problems for the competition. The math problems were at the students’ math level according to a diagnostic test they took before the competition so some of the students were completing math problems beyond their grade level. We are so proud of the dedication and determination shown by the members of the CES Winter Sumdog math team. The teams are coached by Sheryl Kennedy.

FROM MRS. MUNSON
We all make mistakes – some big, some little. No matter what the mistake is, we can learn something from it! “Mistakes help me learn and grow” is language that encourages our students to have a growth mindset, which is a topic they learn about here at CES. Here are some tips on how to learn from our mistakes: https://www.mindtools.com/a27yhpa/how-to-learn-from-your-mistakes
Here are a few books on growth mindset:
