Classroom Winter Parties will be Friday, December 21st from 1:30-2:00.  Please follow the guidelines from the Healthy Kids Act.  A list of approved snacks is available on our school website.  Due to food allergies, any items that do not come pre-packaged will be sent back home with the family that brought them.  Thank you for keeping our students safe!

EARLY DISMISSAL

The Camanche School District will have a one-hour early dismissal on Friday, December 21st.  Camanche Elementary will be dismissing at 2:08/2:15.

GOOD LUCK LEGO TEAMS!

On Saturday afternoon our school Jr. Lego League team, The Moon Savers, will represent Camanche Elementary at the Jr. Lego League Expo at the Putnam Museum in Davenport.  Members of The Moon Savers are Beau Bigwood, Jenna Dunlap, Archer Kelly, Autumn Klahn, Mia Macke, and Kennedy Melchiori.  They studied the challenges faced by astronauts who spend time on the moon.

On Sunday, our Lego League team, Galaxy Orbiters, will be sharing their project and robot missions at the Putnam in a series of 6 competitions.  Members of the Galaxy Orbiters are Jayda Clements, Kady Dunnett, Olivia Harridge, Lily Horner, Sadie Johnson, Bently Nelson, Jillian Pfohl, Josie Srp, and Easton Steffes.  The Galaxy Orbiters studied the challenges faced by astronauts who are in space for at least a year and the Lego Leaguers had to create a workable solution to make life better for the astronauts.  The also programmed an EV3 robot to complete various timed missions.

Both of these events are free and open to the public.  The Moon Savers and Galaxy Orbiters would love a cheering section.  Both teams are coached by Sheryl Kennedy.  If you have any questions about these programs or the competition at the Putnam, please contact Sheryl Kennedy.
