School pictures are in and will be sent home with students today.  If you are dissatisfied with your child’s picture or if your child was absent on picture day, Lifetouch will return on Thursday, November 29th to take new pictures.  All pieces of the original picture packet must be returned for a student to have their picture retaken.  If your student was absent on picture day, please return their picture order form and total payment due on November 29th.  Picture order forms are available in the main office.

Camanche Elementary Families:  It is hard to believe, but the time of year has come where we are working on our annual winter program.  The children are already doing incredible work!  Below is some basic information about the program.  We will be getting you more information in the coming weeks.

Thank you, Miss Jen, Music Teacher

Cold weather is here!  If you or your child(ren) are in need of a winter coat, please contact Carrie Graves at 563-259-3050 or  We have new to gently used coats (children through men’s/women’s sizes) that we are able to give to anyone in need.  Please remember that all information is kept strictly confidential.  Also, if you would like to donate a new or gently used coat and/or clothing, you can drop it off in the main office during business hours.  Thank you!

Ok, all you happy campers, the end of the camping trip is near!  Will Mrs. Witt’s 2nd grade class stay in first or will Mrs. Clarke’s 3rd grade class pass them for the win??  And don’t forget Ms. Gifford’s 2nd grade class, they are not too far behind in 3rd place.  Mrs. Witt’s 2nd grade class won the extra recess last week!  Who will be the first class to get to sit around the bonfire?  Just remember not to melt under the pressure and become an ooey-gooey mess!  You have one last day to gather your canned goods and/or donations of money to try to get to the bonfire first!  Camanche Elementary is sticking together to get our food pantry filled!

As a school we have set a goal of 98,500 minutes in the month of November.  So far, our school has read 35,669 minutes.  We will have a PAJAMA PARTY on Friday, December 7th if/when we reach our goal.  Thank you for helping support this work!

If your student is going to be absent, will arrive late, or needs to leave early, please make sure to call the main office no later than 9 a.m. on the day of the absence, tardy or early dismissal.

Our attendance is currently 96.66%. We as a school have set a goal of 97%. Thank you for working with us to reach that goal, EVERY DAY matters.
