CONGRATULATIONS!

            Congratulations to Sheryl Kennedy for being selected as the Southeast Iowa Region’s recipient of the 2021 Iowa STEM Teacher Award. This award recognizes Mrs. Kennedy’s exceptional dedication toward increasing student interest and achievement in STEM fields and careers in innovative and outstanding ways.

 

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES

            Parent/Teacher Conferences are next week! Conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 3rd and Thursday, March 4th from 1:30-7:30 p.m. A notice indicating the time and place of your child’s conference has been sent home with your student. If you haven’t already returned your notice, please return it as soon as possible! Report cards will be sent home with students the day before conferences.

 

DUE TO CONFERENCES, WE WILL BE HAVING AN EARLY DISMISSAL AT 1:08/1:15 ON BOTH DAYS

THERE IS NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, MARCH 5TH

 

PRESCHOOL INFORMATION NIGHT

            Children who will turn 4 years old on or before September 15th qualify for FREE preschool. We’d like to invite you to an informational Zoom meeting on Thursday, March 11th at 5:00 p.m. We will give you some insights regarding our district’s free preschool program and get applications to you for the 2021-2022 school year. AFTER SCHOOL PICK UP

            This is just a reminder of where students are dismissed from our building at the end of each school day.  Each grade level can be picked up at the following locations:

 

                                                Preschool & 1st grade: the ramp on Harts Avenue

                                                Kindergarten & 2nd grade: the blacktop on 6th Avenue

                                                3rd & 4th grade: front of the school on 11th Place

                                               

DATES TO REMEMBER

March 3rd & 4th                       Parent/Teacher Conferences EARLY DISMISSAL both days @1:08/1:15

March 5th                                NO SCHOOL

March 14th                               SPRING FORWARD – Begin Daylight Savings Time

March 15th–19th                        NO SCHOOL – Spring Break
