ATTENDANCE

If your student is going to be absent, will arrive late, or needs to leave early, please make sure to call the main office no later than 9 a.m. on the day of the absence, tardy, or early dismissal.  THANK YOU!

BIRTHDAY SNACKS

Due to current circumstances, outside snacks and treats are not allowed to be brought into school for classroom or birthday celebrations.  However, the Camanche CSD Food Service department DOES have snacks available for purchase.  Snacks need to be ordered one week in advance of the date you would like them delivered. Order forms can be found on our school website at: https://core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/245542/2018-19_SUGGESTED_BDAY_SNACKS.pdf  Thank you for keeping our students safe!

BALANCES DUE

Thank you to all of the families that are keeping your students’ lunch accounts in good standing even as we are currently able to offer free breakfasts and lunches to all students!  If your lunch account currently has a negative balance, please remember that a la carte items are not free or it may be a negative balance that carried over from last year. Please make every effort to pay any outstanding balance as soon as possible.  If you have any questions regarding your lunch account balance, please call Taryn at 563-259-3004 or email tdeterman@camanchecsd.org. Thank you!

CES TURKEY TROT

Call me corny, but I think the support from CES is just pumpkin spice and everything nice! The CES turkeys are still trottin’ down the bulletin board! Lots of the class turkeys are starting to work up a sweat! Miss Cassie‘s preschool class is closest to the Thanksgiving table and Ms. Mink‘s 1st grade class is on their turkey tail feathers in 2nd place. Ms. Mink‘s 1st grade class was in the lead the first week. Remember, you have until the 19th to bring in your non-perishable food items and/or donations of money. The class that ends up in 1st place gets to gobble up a special Thanksgiving treat and the Food Drive Traveling Trophy! Even if you have brought in a donation, that is ALWAYS room for seconds!

FROM THE TEACHER LIBRARIAN

Throughout this month you may be seeing a paper with highlighted book titles and dates in your child’s book bag. These are a reminder that the books are still unaccounted for from last school year. We have done a full inventory of our library and have not seen them. If you would please use this paper as a reminder to take a look around the house, check any old book bags from last year, and even vehicles, we would appreciate it. Any books that are found can be returned to school with your child, and their teacher will get them to us. Toward the end of 2020, we will be creating fines for the materials that are not found. Thanks so very much for your attention to this.                        ~ Mrs. Grim

COATS FOR KIDS

Cold weather is here! If you or you child(ren) are in need of a winter coat, please contact Carrie Graves at 563-259-3016 or cgraves@camanchecsd.org. We have new to gently used coats (children through men’s/women’s sizes) that we are able to give to anyone in need. Please remember that all information is kept strictly confidential. Thank you!
