SCHOOL PICTURES & RETAKES
School pictures were sent home with your students two weeks ago! If you are dissatisfied with your child’s picture or if your child was absent on picture day, Lifetouch will return on Monday, November 9th to take new pictures. All pieces of the original picture packet must be returned for a student to have their picture retaken. If your student was absent on picture day, please order online or return their picture order form and total payment due on November 9th. Picture order forms are available in the main office.
ATTENDANCE
If your student is going to be absent, will arrive late, or needs to leave early, please make sure to call the main office no later than 9 a.m. on the day of the absence, tardy, or early dismissal. THANK YOU!
BIRTHDAY SNACKS
Due to current circumstances, outside snacks and treats are not allowed to be brought into school for classroom or birthday celebrations. However, the Camanche CSD Food Service department DOES have snacks available for purchase. Snacks need to be ordered one week in advance of the date you would like them delivered. See the attached Birthday Snack order form. BALANCES DUE
Thank you to all of the families that are keeping your students’ lunch accounts in good standing even as we are currently able to offer free breakfasts and lunches to all students! If your lunch account currently has a negative balance, please remember that a la carte items are not free or it may be a negative balance that carried over from last year. Please make every effort to pay any outstanding balance as soon as possible. CES TURKEY TROT
On your mark… set… AND the food drive has begun! CES TURKEY TROT is happening! We already have some turkeys that are picking up the pace and starting to trot closer to the platter on the Thanksgiving table. Ms. Mink‘s 1st grade class is currently in 1st place and Mrs. Knight‘s 2nd grade class isn’t too far behind in 2nd place. Make sure to drop off your canned goods and non-perishable items in our classroom box outside your door now through the 19th! The overall class with the fastest trottin’ turkey gets a special Thanksgiving treat and the traveling Food Drive Trophy! So far the race is all gravy, but in the next week or two, I bet one of these Butterball Turkeys gets a good lead!
CES READING GOAL
We are participating in our reading challenge again this year. As a school, we have set a goal of 89,400 minutes each month. We read 79,921 minutes in the month of October. We don’t get to celebrate with a pajama party on Monday since we didn’t reach our goal, but we will try again next month! We will celebrate with a pajama party on Monday, December 7th if/when we reach our goal.
