HEALTHY HABITS CALENDAR
May Healthy Habits calendars were sent home last week! Just a reminder that any students that complete at least 23 days of activities listed on the calendar AND return the calendar to school on Monday, June 3rd will receive an extra recess with Mr. D.! The May calendar is also attached if you would like to print it yourself. Let’s finish strong CES!
ATTENTION FOURTH GRADE PARENTS
Within the next couple of weeks, our school nurse, Kathy Hullinger, and physical education teacher, Mr. DeNeve, will be spending one class session with 4th grade students talking about the importance of good hygiene and general changes associated with puberty. Students will be separated by gender for this discussion. If you have any questions in regards to the program, please contact Mrs. Hullinger or Mr. DeNeve.
CONGRATULATIONS MOON SAVERS!
The Moon Savers, Camanche Elementary School’s third grade Jr. Lego League team, did a fantastic job at the World Championship! Only 60 of more than 20,000 Jr. Lego League teams were invited to compete at this event in Detroit, Michigan. The judges evaluated the teams in 8 categories. The Moon Savers earned an outstanding rating in each of the 8 categories! They were awarded the Discover and Show trophy because of their research and how they showed what they learned. Members of the Moon Savers are Beau Bigwood, Jenna Dunlap, Archer Kelly, Autumn Klahn, Mia Macke, and Kennedy Melchiori. They are coached by Sheryl Kennedy.
The Moon Savers greatly appreciated the financial support from John Deere, Clinton National Bank, Citizens First Bank, and the Camanche Elementary PTA.
REGIONAL BATTLE OF THE BOOKS
