CONGRATULATIONS LEGO TEAMS!

Congratulations to our school’s Lego League and Jr. Lego League teams. They
both won awards at the Regional event. Our FIRST Lego League robotics team earned the
Judges’ Award and third place in the robot missions. The judges loved their enthusiasm,
their presentation, and how well they supported each other especially since they were one
of the youngest teams competing at the Regional event. Members of the fourth grade team,
Galaxy Orbiters, are Jayda Clements, Kady Dunnett, Olivia Harridge, Lily Horner, Sadie
Johnson, Bently Nelson, Jillian Pfohl, Josie Srp, and Easton Steffes.
The Camanche Jr. Lego League team, the Moon Savers, competed at the Quad
City FIRST Lego League Jr. Expo. The Moon Savers earned the Lil’ Einstein award for
their project. The Lil’ Einstein award is for the team which exhibited in-depth knowledge of
their model and the challenge theme topic. Members of this third grade team are Beau
Bigwood, Jenna Dunlap, Archer Kelly, Autumn Klahn, Mia Macke, and Kennedy Melchiori.
Both teams are coached by Sheryl Kennedy, gifted education program teacher.
