****Camanche
baseball web store by Adcraft is now open.
Anyone wanting to order tee shirts can checkout the store. Store closes May
30th.

****The
Girls and Boys Track team will hold their Dessert Banquet on Thursday, May 23rd
@ 7:30 in the Commons. Please bring
a dessert to share and your own drink.
****As
of now, no one can buy any ala cart items with a
negative balance. You need to check before you try to purchase any ala cart items if you are not sure. Seniors CAN NOT
make any purchases at all with a negative balance. All lunch deposits must be turned into
the office by 10:00AM. We NO LONGER
will be accepting cash for ala cart items during the
serving lunch hours.
****Summer
Drivers Education sign up will begin on Wednesday, May 22nd. The cost is $296.00 and you must have
your money and permit with you when you sign up. We will take the first 24. The first class will be Wednesday, May
29th at 2:20. The class
will run thru mid July.
****Open
gym for all girls interested in trying out for football cheerleading on
Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5 – 6 thru the month of May. Try outs will be @ 6:00 on May 30th.
****Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Track
Team on being the Big East Conference Champs. Congratulations also to Derek Harksen on
being the Big East Male Athlete and Courtney Sowle on being the Big East Female
Athlete.
****Hats Off to Clinton has a form available in
the office for all 9th – 11th graders interested in
completing. They are trying to promote the downtown area with local people. A
photo gallery will be placed in the window spaces of Clinton area businesses
showcasing a cross section of the people of the Clinton area. This will be a fall project for Jean
Black.
The project will be displayed for about 8 weeks.
She would like to photograph a cross-section of all involved students of area
high schools and of all abilities.
Each student is required to have a signed model
release in order to participate.
The completed form gives Jean Black and Dear
Charlie Photography all ownership of any images taken and released for
publication of said images to be posted throughout the downtown businesses.

There will be a pizza party for all members on
June 5th @ 12:00 NOON at Imperial Lanes. Please contact Mrs. Griswold @ 259-1300
if you plan on attending. There will be an officers meeting immediately
following the pizza party. All
officers and anyone interested in chairing a committee should plan on attending
this meeting.
****Summer
tennis and volleyball camp forms are available from Mrs. Moore in the
Activities Office.

****The
3.0 Club Celebration recognition will be held on May 22, 2013 for freshmen,
sophomores and juniors @ 7:00PM in the Little Theatre. Letters will be mailed home to invite
those that qualify for this honor.
****ATTENTION SENIORS: All library books
and fines are due in the library ASAP.
****All Freshmen,
Sophomores and Juniors library materials, fines and fees are to taken care of
by Friday, May 24th.
****SENIOR BOOK FEES AND OFFICE BILLS
All book fees, office
bills, academic responsibilities and any disciplinary responsibilities must be
taken care of by Thursday, May 23rd. The last day for seniors will be
Thursday, May 23rd.
Seniors will have a MANDATORY graduation practice on Friday, May 24th
at 9:00AM.
****Semester tests are scheduled for Monday,
June 3rd and Tuesday, June 4th. Even period tests (2, 4, 6 & 8) will
be on Monday and odd period tests (1, 3, 5, & 7) will be on Tuesday, with a
scheduled 2:15 early out for the last day of school. Tests will be given to ALL STUDENTS this
year. Tests will be given in all
GPA credit classes. Test periods will be in 80 – 90 minute
increments. Students must stay in
the classroom for a minimum of 60 minutes.
We encourage all students to take full advantage of the full 80 –
90 minute testing time.
****Commencement will be on Sunday, May 26th
at 3:00pm in the High School Gymnasium.
The senior graduates need to be here by 1:15 for individual pictures and
the class picture will be taken at 2:10pm.
****Our last official day of school with
students will be Tuesday, June 4th with a 2:15 early out. There will be a faculty in-service day
on Wednesday, June 5th.
For those of you looking ahead to next year, we will have an All-School
Registration Day on Thursday, July 25th from 1:00 – 7:00 in
the Media Center at Camanche High School.
The first day of school for next year (2013-2014) will be Tuesday,
August 13th.
****JUNIORSÉ..SELLÉ.SELLÉ..SELL those garbage bags. The cost is $15.00 per box of 100
bags. All orders and money should
be turned in to Mrs. Metzger or Mrs. Stelpflug BEFORE
SCHOOL.
****Mrs. Sampson
will be meeting with a group for a counseling session with students on
every other Tuesday. The girls will be going 2nd hour in Mr. DorseyÕs
room. The next meeting will be May 21th. The list is as

****Reminder
to all students: Please do not leave books sitting in the freshman hallway.
They are likely to be damaged or stolen. Any books found in this hallway will
be returned to the library.
****Study
Tables will run Monday-Thursday evenings from 3:30-7:30 in the library.
Take advantage of this
opportunity to get help with your classes, study, or make up work. Hope to see
you there!
****National
Honor Society will meet every Monday during Channel One in the Little Theatre. The next meeting will be May 27th.
****Student
Council will meet every Tuesday during Channel One in the Little Theatre. The next meeting date will be Tuesday, May
28th in the Little Theatre.
****Any
student leaving during the day due to a doctor or dental appointment or illness
must have a phone call from a parent and check out of the office before
leaving. Failure to check out of
the building or report back into the building properly from an appointment or
coming late may result in an unexcused absence.
****Early
dismissal/late arrival forms for 2nd semester must be completed and
a call from a parent received prior to anyone coming late of leaving
early. The forms are available in
the office from Mrs. Gentry. If you
do not follow the procedures the absence will be counted as unexcused.
****PARKING
STICKERS – All students driving to school must have a parking sticker and
displayed hanging on the rearview mirror facing out. The parking lot will be checked and
violators will face consequences.
The cost is $2.00 and may be purchased in the office with a completed
parking permit form from Ms. Pingel.
****A
reminder to all students and staff that is it illegal to pass a school bus at
any time when the stop sign is out and the lights are flashing. This includes when they are in the
parking lot unloading and loading students. Failure to abide by this rule will
result in a $330.00 ticket.
